Actual Bank Robbers
Independent Pop Rock Band featuring: Pedro Amaral, Mike Pinder, Anthony Santaniello, Robert Tait & Austin Peterson
Actual Bank Robbers is an independent pop/rock band based out of Tampa Fl., inspired in equal parts by Vivaldi and One Direction by way of Two Door Cinema Club. Most recently ABR was seen as part of the Red Carpet Series opening for Wayne Brady At Busch Gardens Tampa Bay.
Irish Dancer: Johnny Maio, Musicians: Linda Maio on guitar and John Maio on the Penny Whistle
Musical prodigy Johnny Maio began performing piano professionally at age 10. He has appeared in concerts and shows as a soloist and with his family’s musical group, The Maios. Proficient on bass, drums, and guitar as well as well as piano and keyboards, Maio has composed and recorded many projects, including music for the play, “Believe,” and his most recent original CD, “Crazy Dream.” In addition to music, Maio has also competed and performed as an Irish Dancer, winning regional and national titles and appearing in many venues including Tampa’s Straz Center for the Performing Arts and Clearwater’s Ruth Eckerd Hall. Currently Johnny Maio Irish dances for shows and events, and plays keyboard for Busch Gardens, Tampa Bay. He is also a senior at the University of South Florida School of Music.
Robert Wegmann & Nina Slyuser
Accordion and Upright Bass
Robert Wegmann is a local pop music icon who has been playing in the Bay Area for over 30 years. His wife Nina Slyusar is an internationally acclaimed musician who hails from Russia having graduated from the Russian Academy of Music in Moscow. Husband and wife duo bring a sound all their own with Robert on the upright bass and Nina on the accordion.
Juggler and Magician
Stewart Lippe has performed as a juggler, clown and tight wirewalker in numerous venues throughout the world since the early eighties. Co-founder of the Franzini Family Circus, and with them he has toured the United States, the Far East and Germany for the Department of Defense with a stage variety shows.
Stewart has performed at Busch Gardens in Tampa, Fl. and Disneyworld and Sea World in Orlando, Fl. in addition to various circuses: Barnum and Bailey Thrill Circus, Circus Smirkus, and Circus Nexus. He has performed at numerous corporate events over the years. Stewart founded” The Society for the Preservation of Vaudeville and Variety Arts” a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the narrative and archival histories of Vaudeville and circus performers.
Keyboard and Vocals
Pianist and vocalist, Melissa Petrescue is a versatile performing artist who delights in using her gifts to teach, entertain, and inspire. An award winning concert pianist, Melissa was recently the featured soloist with The Florida Orchestra at Ruth Eckerd Hall and Mahaffey Theatre. From classical to motown to pop/rock, Melissa is submerged in a diverse assortment of shows and atmospheric entertainment at Busch Gardens, while spreading the joy of music through a broad spectrum of collaborations and solo projects in the Tampa Bay area.
VYB (Voice Your Body) Dance Company was founded in 2007 by a group of talented performers in the Tampa Bay area who believe they could use dance to make difference in their community.
VYB thrives on making a mark with their urban feel leaving their audiences inspired and wanting more. Teaching weekly classes, performing for special events and organizing community functions the culturally diverse group, the performers are well-trained in various styles of dance, making them relevant to any atmosphere.
House of Leros
Guitarists: Jessy Leros and Sebastian Johnson with guest Melissa Petrescue
Venezuelan musician and actor Jessy Leros started his musical training at the age of 8 in southamerican world instruments and later trained in classical guitar at the Conservatory Of Music Jose Luis Paz. He made his own way, combining classical and world elements with pop/rock music. In the U.S. he studied under former Juilliard guitar master Victor Moreno, and later worked under the direction and tutelage of Ann Ranking, Julie Andrews, and Gregory Hines for the Broadway Theater Project was the opening act with his Jessy with his band HOUSE OF LEROS opened for the DALI Museum’s new seasonal gallery THE INVENTION OF FOOD by Ferran Adria.
